Aaron and I received a letter in the mail from one of the charities Advanced Massage Techniques supports – Smile Train. Due to a generous donation they are going to match/triple donations made until the end of October. So, a donation of $1000 would be give Smile Train $3000. Because of this, we decided to make our donation a little early this year. Smile Train and the work they do is very close to my heart. As you know we adopted a little cutie from China this year who recently had cleft lip surgery and will have cleft palate surgery yet this year. In China, we met other families whose children received surgery in China from doctors traveling with Smile Train. It is a life changing surgery for children and their families! I can testify from experience, the physical and social difference that this surgery makes is amazing. With Smile Train tripling the donation from Advanced Massage Techniques, A LOT of children will receive a surgery that will forever change their lives. When I think about all of the children who will have surgery from this donation it gives me good goosebumps.
We will send the Massage Therapy Foundation donation in December. Maybe Aaron and I will take the money in the mean time to the casino and triple it the old-fashioned way….. Just kidding!
